Custom Vinyl Decals

Having Difficulty Deciding Which Type To Choose?

Carstickers.com offers a variety of types and styles; And while they will all look great on your vehicle or surface of choosing, there are some key differences in how they are made and applied.

Transfer Stickers have been cut out of material and had the background removed from the design. They are applied using transfer tape.

Printed Stickers are made by digitally printing your design on vinyl. They are applied by peeling the sticker from the backing and applying it by hand.

What is the Difference Between a "Decal" and a "Sticker?"

People often ask the difference between a decal and a sticker. Unfortunately there is not an absolute answer because different people often use the terms interchangeably to describe similar products.

At Carstickers.com, we use the terms "Decal and Sticker" to describe the same thing: a design printed on an adhesive vinyl for indoor or outdoor use. We refer to our custom vinyl lettering and graphics as "transfer" products because they are transferred to a smooth surface using an application tape.

If you have any questions about what custom car decal type would be right for you, our customer service team can make personal recommendations based on your project. For more information about the difference between a decal and a sticker, please read this blog post.
